With me creating 3D assets for my project it's good to look at the potential fields you can go into in the future with my own technical skills.
Duties as a 3D environments artist - works within art leadership
Needing to be able to create visuals assets, illustrations, models and environments provided with texture. This is needed alongside on being able to utilize and maintain proficient knowledge, such as absorbing information which is given to you provided from other co-workers or managers. Within that you will also need to help others and mentor newer workers if not understanding the task at hand or just generalized confusion.
Requirements within the job field
Able to have some professional experience within game development whether that be story boarding or the visuals/ designs within the game. The need of artistic skills in 3D/2D art production and experience with game development and game engines. This can be within maya or software like photoshop and adobe. There is also a high need for communication skills due to the need to talk to your peers about your progression and ideas as a whole company. It is also necessity to have a degree in art or a related field such ad design.

With me doing a 2D animation using sprite work for future reference with my work, I can go into sprite work animation for a gaming company.
Duties as a 2D sprite animator
Being able to receive assigned outlines to base an animation off of, this is usually from a brief type of what the company wants you to specifically animate. Clearly showing performance ideas to peers and the company as a whole on your ideas for the animation, as well as being able to collaborate and take actions from directors if necessary. Most importantly, being able to conduct time management and self-assess your project. (This can be done with smart targets and accessible progress)
Requirements within the job field
Having proficiency in animation software whether, specifically photoshop due to it being used in most work environments. A strong sense of storytelling with storyboards and quick thumbnails portraying the main events within the animation, and any experience in sprite work. This is also helped by the necessity of an understanding with animation principles with illustration skills and able to modify your style to suit the production. There's also a need for a desire for improvements of skills and techniques, within working in a small group with other co-workers as well. The main thing as well is time management, which is necessary for every role really, as stated for the 3D job role, and some sort of degree in the suited field.
